Although coffee has technically been grown in Bolivia for some time, it’s been in recent decades that specialty coffee has started to emerge from within the country. Small lot producers and exporters have seen the benefit to specialty coffee production and roasters such as ourselves have followed suit. We first added a Bolivian offering to our line up in 2023 and have now committed to partnering and exclusively purchasing coffee from one single Bolivian producer - Wilma Choque. 

Who is Wilma?! She’s a second generation farmer in La Paz, Bolivia! Her father first started producing coffee in 2003, and she now owns, produces and oversees her own farm. Before she struck out on her own, she was part of the San Juan cooperative we were previously working with, and when we told our importing partner, Royal Coffee, that we wanted a single producer partnership from Bolivia she was the perfect fit. 

Bolivia is definitely a hidden gem within the specialty coffee world and we’re stoked to offer Wilma’s coffee. So stoked, in fact, that we bought it all!
